[ARX7] Arbalest

Based on a song with the same name by Supercell and illustrations by Huke, Black Rock Shooter has spanned into anime OVA adaptation, numerous line of figures, games, mangas, and a TV anime this season starting on the 3rd of February, 2012.

Black Rock Shooter TV anime, as one of the most anticipated anime of this season has done a really great job!

At first, I thought the story will continue where the OVA left off, but then it turns to be a whole new start of the story. I am not really sure if it is a whole new story or maybe retelling the events of the OVA with more new elements and details added.

In the beginning, we can see Black Rock Shooter fighting in the ‘Black Rock Shooter world’ (really, I don’t know what this world is called). And then there is Kuroi Mato sitting sleepy attending her junior high school welcoming ceremony.

As the story goes by, Mato accidentally met Takanashi Yomi, which later they became more friendly and attracted to each other. But suddenly a mysterious, weird girl named Kagari, which despised Mato becoming friend with Yomi and claimed that Yomi only belongs to her, appeared. From there, the problem starts!

I won’t spoils the whole story because i’m too lazy  it is better to watch it yourself so you could feel the whole thrill and enjoyment ^^.

Black Rock Shooter TV anime is packed with superb animations, artworks, nice plot, and awesome music (well, it’s supercell). All the scenes looks awesome. The artworks and animations for buildings, objects, the dark scenes, especially the ‘Black Rock Shooter world’ are very beautiful (as expected from Huke).

The only annoying part from the artworks for me is the art of Yomi and Mato itself, especially Yomi, which is  inconsistent and not as good as i expected. Their face sometimes becomes too round, sometimes become too straight, and sometimes the characters posture went wrong (if you don’t understand what I mean, compare them with the B★RS OVA version ^^).

Nothing much to say about the music and sound effects, it’s just awesome. A bit annoying part is the transition from the end of the episode to the credits part, which is not a great deal to most of the people in my opinion. FYI, there is no opening theme for the 1st episode, and the ending theme is ‘Black Rock Shooter’ by Supercell.

In the end, I think Black Rock Shooter is one of the must watched Anime of 2012. And if you are new to the series, you should also check the OVA and music videos, they are worth watching too.

Anyway, I guess I should improve my writing skill a lot, because I spend a long time on writing this one hehe.

Uhmm, I don’t like it. I was shocked at first though because at first, the 3D was awesome, just like if you watch Final Fantasy’s cutscenes! But later, the 3D turns to be unconsistent in some scenes, especially on the humans, it’s just bad.

The story wasn’t good, a bit weird I think.

The music was… awful!

3/10 IMO.

Egois itu bukan hanya saat kita tidak memikirkan orang lain. Terlalu memprioritaskan orang lain dan melupakan diri sendiri pun namanya tetap egois.

Just realized that Fairy Tail’s Charles & Wendy’s Seiyuus are Horie Yui and Satomi Sato.. And don’t forget, Hirano Aya as Lucy, and Nakahara Mai as Juvia!! No wonder why the respective characters’s voice and their characters songs are awesome!! :)
